About Us

West Midlands Tae Kwon-Do – Sandwell presents your local TAGB Tae Kwon-Do classes. Part of the largest Tae Kwon-Do organisation in the world, the TAGB - with over 27000 current practitioners in the UK.

West Midlands TAGB Tae Kwon-Do began with 2 clubs, over 35 years ago, set up by World Master Vince Farquharson (7th Degree Black Belt) in Dudley and Kidderminster. Since then, World Master Farquharson has branched out, training other black belts to become instructors – branching into the Sandwell area over 10 years ago.

Our lessons are suitable for all ages and abilities. We pride ourselves on providing family classes where everyone can train together. Remember: you are never too old to start your Tae Kwon-Do journey. Our syllabus is altered around you and your capabilities. Our classes incorporate the traditional Korean martial art of Tae Kwon-Do, progression fitness exercises and self-defence techniques.

West Midlands TAGB firmly believe that all the local community has the right to access fitness classes and we can offer that in the form of martial arts to the Sandwell community.

Our Sandwell classes include Tipton, Oldbury and West Bromwich – with Oldbury being relaunched at the back end of 2019 and West Bromwich being relaunched in January 2020.

With over 50 years combined experience instructing Tae Kwon-Do, your Sandwell based clubs and instructors are available to teach you the traditional art of Tae Kwon-Do.

Our instructors provide the highest quality support when teaching the art of Tae Kwon-Do, with all your Sandwell instructors being DBS Checked, Safeguarding Trained, Insured and First Aid Trained – all as minimum requirements.

All our instructors have key areas of speciality and with our unique unlimited training experience, you can train at any West Midlands Tae Kwon-Do affiliated club and be able to indulge in each instructor’s knowledge. The TAGB Oath:
I do solemnly pledge to abide by the rules and regulations of the Tae Kwon-Do Association. To strive always to be modest, courteous and respectful to all members, in particular to my seniors. To put the art into use only for self-defence or defence of the weak and never to abuse my knowledge of the art.
